JB over at Crunchgear has the exclusive on the “upcoming” Google Phone, supposedly set to launch in Q1 2008. His source is someone inside HTC, the company that Google’s working with to pick one of 20 models to finalize their design.

Wow, I really wanted an iPhone, because they are cool. But a Google Phone! It doesn’t get any better than that. Here’s a list of why the Google Phone is cool:

1. It’s free, but serves you ads
2. It works on any network
3. It provides the most relevant user experience
4. “I’m feeling lucky” feature for phone book
